HOPS will #GiveitSomeYFCWelly from 30 September to 4 October to help promote National Young Farmers’ Week 2019 and to show its support for Young Farmers’ Clubs across England and Wales.
The week-long celebration invites supporters and YFC members to get involved on social media and promote the great work that YFCs do in offering rural young people a social network and skills development opportunities.
Many of HOPS’ growers have families involved with their local YFC and National Young Farmers’ Week is a great opportunity to share your involvement on social media. The hashtag #NationalYoungFarmersWeek will be popular during the week and HOPS recommend using it to help your own posts be seen by a wider audience.
NFYFC has also made a toolkit available for anyone interested in supporting the week and there are sample social media posts and graphics that can be used across your social media channels.
The week starts on 30 September with a #GiveitSomeYFCWelly Day – which is aimed at encouraging YFC members and supporters to do just one thing to help promote YFC.
HOPS Director Sarah Boparan said:
“It’s a really positive way to get involved in supporting the next generation of farmers and helping to give this important organisation more of a profile. With all the materials available for everyone to use, it’s also a good and easy opportunity for growers to get involved and promote their own businesses.
“HOPS will be actively supporting the week so look out for our posts too!”
HOPS’ profits directly benefit The National Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs as they are invested back into the organisation to develop rural young people.
